God’s Holy Spirit belongs to God. The Holy Spirit is not another deity.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and the power of God.
Luke 4:14: “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”
Luke 24:49: “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Romans 15:13, 19
13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
19 “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”
Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
The Holy Spirit is the power of God.
If the Holy Spirit is a spiritual deity then the Holy Spirit would be the Father of Jesus instead of God.
Matthew 1:20, “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”
Luke 1:35: “And the angel answered and said unto her (Mary), The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
God’s Holy Spirit is in Jesus Christ and in each of us who is a child of God. We are all one with God’s Spirit in us.
Satan has an evil spirit just as God has a Holy Spirit. Our spirit can either combine with God’s Holy Spirit or with Satan’s evil spirit and then we become either a Son of God or a son of Satan.
Luke 22:3: “Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.”
Ephesians 2:2: “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”
I Corinthians 2:12: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
All unclean and evil spirits mentioned in the Bible are of Satan.
