Can Jesus Come Back Today and When Will Jesus Return?

Number 30

Can Jesus come back today and when will Jesus return?

No. Jesus cannot come back today.

Jesus will not return until after the Lord’s plan is completed and all prophecy is fulfilled. All seven seals have to be loosened and fulfilled with Jesus returning at the seventh trump of the seventh seal.

No one knows when Jesus will return but our Father.

Mark 13:32, “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”

From the time of Adam’s creation until Jesus’ second coming will be at least six thousand years.

The Lord created the seven-day week. He worked six days and rested the seventh day.

Exodus 20:8-11

8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

9 “Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:”

10″ But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:”

11 “For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

The length of the Lord’s plan is comparable to the seven-day week. One day with the Lord is the same as a thousand years.

II Peter 3:8, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

The Lord has a seven-thousand-year plan for mankind. For six thousand years mankind will rule himself, during which time the Lord will choose His Elect, the Church. The Elect will rule with Jesus Christ in the millennium.

Revelation 5:10, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

From Adam to Jesus is approximately four thousand years and from Jesus until now is approximately two thousand years. This is a total of six thousand years.

We are in the last days.

When Will Jesus Return?

Jesus will return approximately six thousand years after Adam was created.

Only our heavenly Father knows the day and hour when Jesus will return.

The Bible tells us that after certain things occur, Jesus will return shortly thereafter.

Mankind will become as wicked as they were in the days of Noah and violence will fill the earth.

Luke 17:26

Genesis 6:5-13

Homosexuality will become accepted and widespread as it was in the days of Lot.

Luke 17:28, 30

Genesis 19:1-26

Jesus will return shortly after these things occur.

The development of atomic weapons is a sign that Jesus will return soon. Mankind now for the first time in history has the ability to destroy himself completely.

Matthew 24:22, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

The whole world will turn against the Jews including the United States and England and many Jews will be killed.

Anti Semitism will fill the whole world.

Matthew 24:9, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”

Jesus Christ will return shortly after the gospel has been preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.

Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Jesus Christ shall not return until after there comes a falling away from the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, nor until after the son of perdition sets himself up as God on earth.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4

3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

In the last time many will be teaching that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God. When this happens, we know the return of Jesus is near.

I John 2:18, “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

Jesus Christ will return shortly after the abomination of desolation is set up in the Holy place.

Matthew 24:15, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

Daniel 12:11, “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

When Jerusalem is compassed with armies, the time of Jesus’ return is close.

Luke 21:20, “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.”

Luke 21: 24, “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”

The two witnesses of Revelation 11 shall prophesy for forty and two months, be killed, lie in the street for three- and one-half days, rise from the dead, and ascend up to heaven. Jesus Christ will return very shortly.

Study Revelation 11:3-12.

The Kingdom of God will be set up during the time of the ten kings of Daniel 2:44 and Revelation 17:12-13, 16-17. When these ten kings come on the scene the return of Jesus is near.

The King of the South has to come against the King of the North.

Daniel 11:40, “And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.”

These two kingdoms are evolving now.

Jesus will return shortly after the Little Book is finished.

Study Revelation 10.

We are in the fourth seal now. So many people will be killed during the fourth seal that mankind will believe that it is the time of the end.

This will not be so for the fifth seal will show us that many of our fellow servants and brethren are yet to be killed.

Revelation 6:11, “And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

The sixth seal, the heavenly signs, has to be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ will return shortly thereafter.

Revelation 6:12-16:

12 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;”

13 “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.”

14 “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”

15 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;”

16 “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:”

The seventh seal, which includes the three woes, has to be loosened and fulfilled.

First Woe – Revelation 9:1-12

Second Woe – Revelation 9:13-21, Revelation 11:14

Third Woe – Revelation 15:1, Revelation 16:1-21

In Daniel 12:4 the Lord tells Daniel to shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end.

He tells us many shall run to and fro and that knowledge will be released.

Daniel 12:4, ” But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

This is happening today. Many are running to and fro seeking knowledge in all things and knowledge is being revealed.

The Return of Jesus Christ in II Thessalonians 2:1-7:

1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,”

2 “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”

5 “Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?”

6 “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.”

7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”

II Thessalonians 2:1-2 tells us not to be troubled by what we hear concerning the return of Jesus Christ.

Verse 3 and 4 tells us that Jesus will not return until after the Son of Perdition sets himself up as God here on earth.

Verse 5 tells us that Jesus told the disciples these things while He was with them.

Verse 6 tells us we now know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Paul has just told us what is withholding the return of Jesus Christ. This is what verses one and two are about. The scriptures, II Thessalonians 2:3-4, concerning the Son of Perdition, have to be fulfilled before Jesus returns.

Verse 7 tells us the mystery of iniquity is already at work and that Satan is letting his son, the Son of Perdition, do his work here on earth the same as the Father is letting Jesus do His work here on earth.

When the time comes the Lord will take Satan out of the way (put Him aside) and the Wicked One will be revealed (the Son of Perdition).

The Lord has a plan and Satan can only do what the Lord will permit him to do.

The events to take place in God’s plan will come about at their appointed time.
